We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer with a strong emphasis on backend development to join our dynamic team. This position requires a minimum of 7-8 years of experience in full stack development, with a particular focus on backend/API development. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Python programming and a proven track record of building and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices architecture. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable applications that meet the needs of our clients while ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front end. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. You will also be involved in the deployment and management of applications on cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure. A strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL and MongoDB, is essential for this position. You will utilize containerization tools like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes to streamline the development and deployment processes. As a Full Stack Developer, you will be proficient in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment. Familiarity with backend frameworks such as Flask, Django, or FastAPI is required. Additionally, you should have a strong understanding of security best practices in API development, including authentication, authorization, and data encryption. Your solid problem-solving skills will be crucial in troubleshooting complex technical issues, and your excellent communication skills will enable you to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This is a long-term position with a flexible work schedule, requiring 2-3 days a week in the office located in Dallas (Irving/Richardson), Austin TX, or Hartford, CT.
