About the position

The Full Stack Developer position focuses on modernizing a Payroll system by converting code from COBOL to Java, utilizing a proprietary tool for the transformation. The role requires collaboration with technical leads, developers, and testers to ensure accurate code transformation and alignment with security policies. This is a contract position with a high potential for conversion to a full-time role, based in Malvern, PA.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates closely with technical leads, developers, and testers to analyze, document, and transform mainframe code to cloud.
• Collaborates on the project's code and data conversion strategy during the planning phase and ensures implementation of this plan.
• Ensures the code transformation approach aligns with standard key control policies and information security.
• Collaborates with testers to develop and execute manual test cases and exploratory tests following the Test Case standards.
• Identifies current code issues, vulnerabilities, and implements effective solutions during transformation.
• Responsible for the customization and development of application systems, including design, coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a Full Stack Developer.
• Strong working knowledge in Java, Angular, AWS services, Dexter, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Clover, Splunk, and Honeycomb (nice to have).
• Formal training in development languages and techniques.

Nice-to-haves

• Ability to read and understand mainframe code is preferred.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
