About the position

The Full-stack Developer (frontend) position at Blue Sky Innovative Solutions involves developing web applications primarily using JavaScript/Typescript and related frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue. The role requires a strong background in both frontend and server-side application development, with a focus on usability analysis and automated testing. The position is onsite in Reston, VA, and requires a TS/SCI clearance due to the nature of the work with federal clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop web applications using JavaScript/Typescript and frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue.
• Build and maintain HTML and CSS for web applications.
• Engage in server-side application development using Java, C#, or Python.
• Conduct usability analysis and develop automated testing (unit and E2E).
• Collaborate closely with software development teams to deliver high-quality applications.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in web application development using JavaScript/Typescript.
• DoD 8570 Compliant Security+ or CISSP Certification prior to starting on contract.
• Experience with server-side application development using Java, C#, or Python.
• Experience with usability analysis and automated testing development.
• Ability to switch between different programming languages and learn new ones as necessary.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with JavaScript visualization libraries such as D3, Esri, Leaflet, CytoscapeJS, and VizJS.
• Familiarity with Java Spring Framework.
• Experience working with various intelligence disciplines (GEOINT, HUMINT, MASINT, OSINT, SIGINT).
• Knowledge of testing frameworks like Jasmine, Karma, or Selenium.
• Experience with Linux scripting in BASH or Perl.
• Understanding of information security principles.
• Experience with Agile/Kanban development methodologies.
• Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, Git, and GitHub/GitLab.
