About the position

The Full-stack Developer role focuses on automating model portfolio content and data displays for a client's website, transitioning from manual processes to a more efficient automated system. The position requires collaboration with various teams to understand requirements, develop solutions, and mentor other developers while ensuring high-quality code and performance.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with business team, business analysts, and architects to understand new requirements and identify system changes.
• Collaborate daily with development team, designers, copywriters, and other IT teams.
• Develop and present recommendations based on analysis of current solutions; assist in design and code peer reviews, build and unit test functional enhancements.
• Offer solutions and designs to resolve process, project, or program issues; provide recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Exhibit strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills; produce design documents for various audiences.
• Demonstrate technical thought leadership and problem-solving ability, with an aptitude for technical innovation.
• Understand content and social media publishing platforms and stay updated on industry trends in desktop, mobile, and video platform development.
• Serve as a coach/mentor for UI and back-end developers on new system requirements and enhancements.
• Lead development of Java/JEE code to meet specifications and designs using best practices; develop a world-class Spring/Web services code-base.
• Estimate effort and breakdown tasks for implementing new changes and identifying risks.
• Build large-scale data pipes and design, build, and run ML systems at scale.
• Monitor and improve performance; investigate issues.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial Java experience, including Spring.
• Experience with Python at a regular+ level.
• Knowledge of web services.
• Passionate about software development.
• Client-oriented with good communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• JavaScript experience is strongly desirable.
• AWS experience is strongly desirable.
• AI/ML experience is desirable.
