About the position

Beacon Hill Technologies is seeking a Full Stack Web Developer for a long-term contract with a direct client. This position will start remote, but we're ideally looking for someone who lives in South Florida, Atlanta, GA, and/or Cincinnati, OH. In this role, you will join a high performing Agile team working on a client facing web portal application. The tech stack is Node.js, Angular, and MySQL. We're seeking candidates who have 2+ years of experience with Angular 2+ (8/9 is preferred) and recent hands-on experience with Node and MySQL. As a Full Stack Web Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining web applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will work closely with other developers and stakeholders to design and implement new features, troubleshoot and optimize existing code, and ensure the application meets the needs of the users. Your role will also involve participating in code reviews, contributing to team meetings, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain client-facing web portal applications using Node.js, Angular, and MySQL.
  • Collaborate with Agile team members to design and implement new features.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize existing code for performance and responsiveness.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and best practices are followed.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand user needs.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience with Angular 2+ (preferably versions 8/9).
  • Recent hands-on experience with Node.js and MySQL.
  • Strong understanding of web development principles and best practices.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with additional front-end frameworks or libraries.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git.
