About the position

Element and its new Lab Technology Group are seeking a Full Stack Developer (PHP) who is passionate about Linux, MySQL, and web development. This role is open to both junior and experienced developers who are eager to contribute to our software projects. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of both frontend and backend technologies, including JavaScript, HTML, PHP, MySQL, GIT, and Bash scripting. As a member of our team, you will collaborate closely with various individuals to support, develop, and maintain our software applications. You will also troubleshoot technical issues and contribute to the overall success of our projects. In this position, you will collaborate with senior developers to design, develop, and maintain web applications using a variety of frontend and backend technologies. You will be responsible for writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code in JavaScript, HTML, PHP, MySQL, and Bash. Additionally, you will perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to your team members. Troubleshooting and debugging technical issues will be a key part of your role, which may include Linux server configuration, database queries, and frontend/backend code. You will work closely with the Product Lead to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions that meet customer needs. Following best practices and coding standards will be essential to ensure software quality and security. You will also document technical specifications, processes, and procedures as needed. Staying updated on emerging technologies and industry trends will be crucial for continuously improving your technical skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior developers to design, develop, and maintain web applications using frontend and backend technologies.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in JavaScript, HTML, PHP, MySQL, and Bash.
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Troubleshoot and debug technical issues, including Linux server configuration, database queries, and frontend/backend code.
• Work closely with the Product Lead to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions that meet customer needs.
• Follow best practices and coding standards to ensure software quality and security.
• Document technical specifications, processes, and procedures as needed.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve technical skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Solid understanding of Linux operating systems and command-line tools.
• Proficiency in MySQL database design, optimization, and maintenance.
• Strong programming skills in JavaScript, HTML, PHP, and Bash scripting.
• Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow.
• Knowledge of development frameworks such as Symfony is a plus.
