TAYS is seeking a Full Stack Developer to provide Agile software development expertise and hands-on implementation using the latest open-source server-side JavaScript technologies on the Node platform and other related open-source products. You will work with an Agile team of developers, product owners, or stakeholders while assisting with data processing flows, user authentication, admin tools, and data migration. You will review, build, deploy, and test the applications. You will work with the team to define, document, and implement APIs for integration with internal production systems. This is a permanent, W2 position and will consist of a hybrid schedule. The Full Stack Developer must reside within 2 hours of Woodlawn, MD.

Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly understand the company's history, capabilities, service offerings, and culture and help set the strategic business development direction.
  • Maintain knowledge of current federal procurement cycles, processes, contract vehicles, agencies, opportunities, and agency decision-makers and influencers; ensure knowledge among the BD team.
  • Help to develop and then follow and enforce the company's rigorous business development process to identify, qualify, and pursue opportunities in the federal marketplace that align with the company's business development strategic and tactical priorities.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of recent experience with JavaScript
  • Recent hands-on experience with frameworks/technologies such as React.js, Express.js, MobX, Redux or Flux.js.
  • Recent hands-on development experience with developing RESTful Web Services using Node.js.
  • Recent knowledge of Scrum and Kanban Agile development process and TDD, BDD, ceremonies including scrums, planning events, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and demos.
  • Recent experience with complex programming, program debugging, data analysis, problem analysis and resolution of issues within open-source applications.
  • Recent hands-on experience with software development to include design, development, and testing.
  • Recent in-depth knowledge in writing complex SQL queries in PostgreSQL and optimize queries.
  • The ability to mentor/train team members on Node.js and React technologies.
  • The ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust.

Nice-to-haves

  • Recent hands-on experience with other JavaScript frameworks such as Express, Restify, Hapi, Sails, JOI, and Knex.
  • Recent hands-on JavaScript experience with ECMAScript2015 (ES6), ECMAScript2016 (ES7) or Babel transpiler.
  • Operating System and Infrastructure experience with Linux, Windows 7, Unix, Solaris, JMS, OOD, CVS.
  • Recent hands-on experience with VersionOne Application Lifecycle Management Tools
  • Recent experience with Jenkins and Continuous Integration.
  • Recent hands-on experience with databases PostgreSQL and SOLR.
  • Recent hands-on knowledge with Standards & Protocols for XML, XSLT, WSDL, JSON.
  • Recent experience with Testing Tools including Mocha, Chai, Jest, Sinon, Supertest, Enzyme, Instanbul, Selenium, Load Runner, JSLint and Cucumber.
  • Recent experience with Requests from Git and Stash.
  • Recent hands-on experience with IDEs such as VS code.
  • Recent knowledge of SonarCube, Phabricator, Gerritt, Karma, Jasmine
  • Recent hands-on knowledge of projects using SAFe methodology.
  • Recent experience with DevOps processes and implementation.
  • Recent experience with Amazon Web Services.
  • Recent experience with NGiNX web server.
  • Recent hands-on experience with MQLight, Redis In-memory data structure store and message broker.
