About the position

We are seeking a Full Stack Developer to join our team, focusing on accelerating a federal mission client's discovery and delivery of identity and network-based intelligence insights to counter national security threats. The role involves crafting, testing, and recommending scalable designs while implementing integrations in a cloud environment. The ideal candidate will strategize build tools and software to facilitate information sharing and advance analytic practices.

Responsibilities

• Employ software development techniques and methodologies for solving analytical challenges related to national security threats.
• Automate manual analytical processes using software development skills.
• Expand specializations to include front-end user interfaces, back-end microservices, web services, cloud architectures, and databases.
• Deploy IT solutions, user applications, databases, and other IT capabilities.
• Design and develop specialized user solutions, applications, and databases using a hybrid Agile approach within a DevOps environment.
• Provide Tier 3 technical support for deployed applications and databases.
• Maintain code integrity and organization using versioning tools like Git.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to design and launch new features, including deployment procedures and release plans.
• Learn and utilize the latest software tools and technologies to address real-world problems vital to national security.
• Support off-hours deployment, including evenings or weekends.

Requirements

• Understanding of cloud architectures and enabling tools such as AWS Cloud (GovCloud/C2S).
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Managed Services (AWS).
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Angular, Typescript, Node.js, MongoDB, JSON, SQL, XML.
• High experience level with back-end programming languages (Java/Spring, Python).
• Working knowledge of datastores like MongoDB, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, S3, Redshift, Redis, and Elasticsearch.
• Familiarity with technologies such as jQuery, ASP/.Net, NoSQL, PL/SQL, LDAP, HTTP, REST/SOAP, RDBMS.
• Experience with Configuration Management and CI Tools like Git/Gitlab, Jenkins, SonarQube, Maven, Ansible, Chef.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix server environments.
• Experience with Agile development methodology.
• Working knowledge of collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence.

Nice-to-haves

• Working knowledge of software platforms and services such as Docker, Kubernetes, JMS/SQS/SNS, Kafka, AWS Lambda, NiFi.
• Experience with automated testing patterns and tools like Mocha/Chai, JUnit, NUnit, TestNG.
• Experience with DevOps environments.
• Expertise in various COTS, GOTS, and open-source tools for data integration and visualization applications.
• Familiarity with Python, Groovy, Shell Script.
