About the position

We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer with expertise in JavaScript and hands-on experience with asynchronous programming. This is a hybrid role, requiring a combination of remote work and onsite presence as needed in Crystal City, VA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality, efficient, and scalable web applications using React for the frontend and Node.js for the backend. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other developers, to define, design, and ship new features. In this role, you will write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices. You will also perform code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure the quality and performance of the applications. Optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability will be a key part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in web development to continuously improve your skills and the applications you develop.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality, efficient, and scalable web applications using React for the frontend and Node.js for the backend.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other developers, to define, design, and ship new features.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, React, Node.js, and SQL databases.
• Strong understanding of web development concepts and principles.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledgeable of JavaScript built-in data structures and standard methods, JavaScript promises, async and await, JavaScript closures and scope, control flow and iteration, and React Hooks and state management.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with DoD Financial Management Applications.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
