About the position

The Full Stack Developer position at National Services Group (NSG) is designed for an experienced Django developer to enhance the corporate team as the company continues to grow rapidly. The role involves developing and maintaining web applications, collaborating with stakeholders, and participating in the full application lifecycle, from design to deployment. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to innovative projects within a dynamic and expanding organization.

Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders, development team, and project manager(s) to create and implement solutions.
• Develop and maintain web applications using the Django framework.
• Participate in the full lifecycle of application, including design, coding, testing, implementation, deployment, as well as support and maintenance.
• Write code that is reusable, testable, and efficient.
• Identify and fix software bugs.
• Develop and manage databases and applications.
• Troubleshoot, test, and update existing applications to improve functionality and security.
• Analyze problem/task to give accurate timelines for milestones and full implementation completion.
• Create user interface, server-side components, and database integration.
• Participate in daily standups and bi-weekly sprint meetings, including estimating and planning future work.
• Participate in the code review process.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years working with Django
• Experience with SQL databases (MySQL, Postgres, etc.)
• Proficient in Python with a good knowledge of its ecosystems
• Good understanding of REST APIs
• Solid understanding of server-side templating languages such as Jinja 2
• Strong understanding of databases and schema design
• Experience with user authentication and authorization systems

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with event-driven systems is desirable but not required
• Familiarity with Zope is desirable but not required
