About the position

The Full Stack Developer position at Kforce involves designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, maintaining infrastructure as code, and overseeing Kubernetes workloads. The role requires collaboration with teams to integrate DevSecOps principles and enhance platform reliability through custom solutions and automation tools. The developer will also participate in Agile ceremonies and work on hybrid platform initiatives to optimize delivery pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement high-quality CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code
  • Oversee Kubernetes workloads on Azure Kubernetes Service
  • Write production-quality code to extend pipeline functionality, improve platform reliability, and implement custom solutions beyond basic scripting
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate DevSecOps principles, implementing security gates and pre- and post-validation checks in pipelines
  • Build small APIs and automation tools to enhance platform reliability, reduce toil, and improve developer workflows
  • Monitor and optimize platform health
  • Work on hybrid platform initiatives to streamline delivery pipelines and ensure consistency between cloud and on-premises systems
  • Enhance hybrid system observability by addressing monitoring gaps and implementing disaster recovery and failover strategies across cloud and on-premises systems
  • Drive cost efficiency through optimization tooling and proactive resource management across environments
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint cycles, mob programming sessions, and regular demos of platform improvements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (preferred)
  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure, or cloud engineering roles
  • Proficiency in backend development language
  • Mastery of Azure Pipelines, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and GitHub Enterprise
  • Proficient in Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and Nginx ingress controllers
  • Knowledge of GitOps such as FluxCD and ArgoCD, as well as Kubernetes tooling such as Carpenter, Reloader, Kustomize, Azure CSI, and Secret Vaulting solutions
  • Strong knowledge of Azure Front Door, Application Gateway, Load Balancers, and Azure Traffic Manager
  • Strong knowledge of Terraform Enterprise Cloud and policy-as-code tools
  • Knowledge of API Management solutions like Azure API Management, IBM API Central
  • Understanding of web hosting containers Nginx, Caddy, IIS
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools
  • Familiarity with trunk-based development and security platforms
  • Understanding hybrid cloud platforms
  • Understanding of Application Artifact Solutions
  • Understanding of Application Configuration for C#, React.Js, Python
  • Exceptional communication skills
