About the position

As a Full Stack Developer, you will be embedded on a development scrum team consisting of 7 other developers and a scrum master. The team operates in 2-week sprints to develop new capabilities for the TruCare Cloud platform, which is designed to enhance the services provided to our members. This role requires a balanced focus on both backend and frontend development, with approximately 50% of your time dedicated to backend tasks such as creating REST APIs and the other 50% focused on frontend UI development. In this collaborative environment, you will engage in peer code reviews, ensuring that the code quality meets the team's standards. You will work closely with your teammates to brainstorm and implement solutions, fostering a culture of accountability to agile methodologies and technical best practices. Your contributions will be vital in delivering high-quality software that meets the needs of our users and supports the overall mission of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Embedded on a development scrum team with 7 other developers and a scrum master.
  • Working in 2-week sprints to develop new TruCare Cloud capabilities used to better serve our members.
  • Engaging in 50% backend development such as REST APIs and 50% frontend UI development.
  • Peer reviewing team members' code to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
  • Collaborating with the team on solutions to technical challenges.
  • Partnering with the team to uphold agile methodologies and technical best practices.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years' experience with an Object-Oriented language such as Java, C++, C#, Ruby, or Python.
  • Experience building and maintaining RESTful Web services.
  • Experience with Mongo or another No-SQL Database.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Completion of a technical training program (e.g. LaunchCode).

  • Experience with Agile methodologies, Gitlab, SQL Server, Angular, and AWS/Cloud technologies.
