About the position

The Full-Stack Engineer for the Amazon Health Mobile Platform is responsible for bridging the gap between front-end mobile development and back-end services. This role involves improving mobile app experiences, defining strategies for app functionality, and developing a cross-platform UI framework. The engineer will work closely with various teams to ensure high standards in code quality, architecture, and design, while also addressing production issues efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Bridge the gap between front-end mobile development and back-end services.
• Improve the app's offline experience and define pagination strategies.
• Develop a cross-platform UI framework for feature ownership in the OM app.
• Collaborate with technical, clinical, and operational teams to deliver solutions.
• Ensure production issues are routed and resolved in a timely manner.
• Contribute to team objectives and leverage engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience in design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Nice-to-haves

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience including coding standards and testing.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Experience with Ruby/Rails.
• Experience with modern JavaScript libraries and tooling (React/Redux, Angular/NgRx, etc.).
