About the position
The Full Stack Engineer position at Xcellent Technology Solutions offers a unique opportunity to work remotely while contributing to The National Map project for the United States Geological Survey (USGS). This role involves shaping the future of the topoMap web application through full stack development, collaborating with innovative teams, and making impactful enhancements to the application.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance the topoMap web application.
- Manage Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipelines in GitLab.
- Utilize AWS automation tools such as Terraform, CDK, and CloudFormation.
- Manage AWS computing resources including EC2, AutoScale Groups, Lambda, and Step Functions.
- Work with AWS storage infrastructures like S3, EFS, and FSx.
- Create automated configuration scripts and APIs, and monitor systems using CloudWatch, Grafana, and SumoLogic.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in full stack development.
- Experience managing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipelines in GitLab.
- Proven experience using AWS automation tools (Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation).
- Ability to manage AWS computing resources (EC2, AutoScale Groups, Lambda, Step Functions).
- Experience with AWS storage infrastructures (S3, EFS, FSx).
- Ability to develop automated configuration scripts (YAML, Python, PowerShell, Chef) and APIs (AWS Lambda, SQS, API Gateway).
