About the position
As a Senior Fullstack Engineer at Lilt, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the Linguist GUI and App Server, which serve as the primary interface for our translation services. This position is pivotal in enabling linguists to provide localized experiences, making it a high-visibility and high-impact role within the company. You will collaborate with a talented team to drive and execute projects that align with the company's UX-focused strategy, while also engaging with cutting-edge natural language processing (NLP) techniques.
Responsibilities
- Propose ideas to define, drive, and execute projects on Lilt's Linguist GUI and App Server.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance user experience for linguists.
- Implement and work with the latest natural language processing (NLP) techniques.
- Solve cloud engineering problems related to distributed software systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science or Masters of Science in Computer Science (Master preferred).
- Experience working on large-scale, distributed software systems.
- Experience with Node.js and related app server technologies (or willingness to learn).
- Significant large-scale software engineering experience with Java and related JVM technologies.
- Solid relational database knowledge and significant experience with very large MySQL installations.
- Basic knowledge of NLP and machine learning techniques is highly valued.
- Professional fluency in English.
- Authorization to work in the US.
