About the position

Michelin Connected Fleet, North America, is seeking a Full Stack Java Developer to join our dynamic team. As a leading fleet management, IoT, and SAAS company, we are dedicated to helping fleet managers tackle critical challenges such as cost control, safety and compliance, cargo and vehicle security, monitoring of cargo, and ensuring productivity and on-time delivery. With a network of 800,000 connected vehicles across Europe, North America, and Latin America, our ambition is to become the #1 global fleet management business, and we are expanding into new markets to achieve this goal. In this role, you will be part of our rapidly growing global development teams, responsible for delivering world-class fleet management software systems. A strong understanding of database systems for handling large volumes of data is essential. Your contributions will include shipping well-architected, performant, scalable, and secure code with solid test coverage, as well as developing new or improving existing architecture and components. You will lead or participate in architectural and technical feasibility discussions, making well-substantiated decisions regarding your developmental approach. Regular communication with product and business stakeholders will be crucial, as you will address their priorities while promoting backend best practices and standards. You will also tackle technical debt and prioritize test coverage, educating non-technical stakeholders to gain their buy-in when necessary. Additionally, you will encourage exploration and experimentation with new technologies, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team.
