About the position

The Full Stack Java Developer (Engineer 2) position is a contract role focused on developing and maintaining applications using Java and related technologies. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in both front-end and back-end development, with a particular emphasis on cloud services and infrastructure automation. This role requires collaboration with product owners and team members to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using Java 8+, Spring Boot, React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and CSS.
• Implement API development and manage API Gateway & load balancer configurations.
• Utilize AWS services for application deployment and management, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery.
• Automate infrastructure using Terraform scripts and manage CI/CD pipelines.
• Advocate for and implement test-driven development (TDD) practices.
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative environment.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of Java 8+, Spring Boot, React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and CSS.
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and Git.
• Experience with API development and microservice patterns.
• Strong understanding of AWS services, including RDS, ECS, EKS, and DynamoDB.
• Ability to apply design patterns and principles such as SOLID and CQRS.
• Experience with automation in testing, deployment, and security scanning.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with global load balancing and data replication strategies.
• Familiarity with AWS services like Route 53, CloudFront, and Global Accelerator.
• Knowledge of data consistency models and synchronization across regions.
• Experience with Kafka and NoSQL databases.
