About the position

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java applications using frameworks such as Struts/Tiles, Struts 2, Servlets/JSP, and JPA/Hibernate.
• Design and implement complex queries and PL/SQL database objects using Oracle databases.
• Utilize JavaScript frameworks like AngularJS, NodeJS, React, or JQuery for front-end development.
• Ensure responsive design using frameworks like Bootstrap.
• Manage code repositories and version control using Git.
• Implement continuous integration practices using tools like Jenkins.
• Collaborate with team members in an Agile development environment.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Java application development.
• 5+ years of experience with Oracle databases, including DML and DDL statements.
• 3+ years of experience with JavaScript frameworks such as AngularJS, NodeJS, React, or JQuery.
• 3+ years of experience as a full-stack developer.
• Experience with responsive design frameworks, preferably Bootstrap.
• Familiarity with code repositories, preferably Git.
• Experience with continuous integration tools, preferably Jenkins.
• Knowledge of relational database designs and object-oriented design methodologies.
• Experience with database query tools (e.g., TOAD, SQL Developer).
• Knowledge of database security and role-based security.
• Familiarity with Unified Modeling Language (UML).

Nice-to-haves

• Oracle certification(s).
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies such as Scrum, XP, and Kanban.
• Experience with virtualization technologies, preferably Docker.
• Experience implementing GIS applications.
• Experience developing RESTful web services.
• Knowledge of environmental regulatory business processes.
