About the position

Capgemini is seeking a Full Stack Java Developer to join their team in Woodland Hills, California. This role involves developing and supporting web applications within the Property Casualty Insurance domain, utilizing a variety of technologies including Java, J2EE, and various web services. The developer will be responsible for interpreting customer needs into viable solutions, documenting and implementing programs, and providing L1/L2 support.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support web applications in the Property Casualty Insurance domain.
• Utilize Java programming and J2EE Application Servers for application development.
• Interpret customer needs into viable solutions and provide input into system design.
• Document and implement programs according to standards and conventions.
• Provide L1/L2 support and experience with Service Now or any ticketing system tool.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with knowledge of the Property Casualty Insurance domain.
• Demonstrated ability with Java programming and J2EE Application Servers.
• Experience with technologies such as XML, Web Services, MQ-series, Bitbucket, Docker, and VSAM.
• Proficiency in Java Spring, Struts 2.0, JSP, JDBC, Servlets, Log4j, JavaScript, XML, XSLT, JMS, CSS, Ajax, and VSAM.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Service Now or any ticketing system tool.
• Experience in providing L1/L2 support.
