At Bank of America, we are committed to helping make financial lives better through the power of every connection. This position is integral to our mission, focusing on developing and delivering complex requirements to achieve business goals. The role involves ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. This includes coding solutions, unit testing, and ensuring that the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces. The job requires an awareness of development and testing practices in the industry, emphasizing the importance of quality and compliance in software delivery. As a full stack Java developer within the APSE area, you will automate both infrastructure and software delivery. Your responsibilities will include providing software services for server delivery teams and software developers, as well as collaborating with enterprise groups to provide low-touch capabilities across a wide domain. You will work with DevOps platforms and tools, as well as middleware systems indirectly, ensuring that our software solutions are efficient and effective. The expectations for this role include coding solutions and unit testing to deliver requirements/stories per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements. You will utilize multiple architectural components in the design and development of client requirements, perform Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) activities, and contribute to story refinement and the definition of requirements. Additionally, you will participate in estimating the work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle, contribute to existing test suites, analyze test reports, and identify any test issues/errors, triaging the underlying cause. You may also perform spikes or proofs of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
