About the position

The Full Stack Java Developer position is a long-term contract role at a prominent Financial Services Company located in Charlotte, NC. The role involves working with a team to build integrations for various systems, ensuring technology compliance, and providing support related to Java engineering. The developer will engage in requirement gathering, enhance Jira stories, and support UAT and production implementations. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on innovation and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Build integrations for other systems.
  • Work with DCI activities to ensure technology is up to date and compliant with regulations.
  • Provide support related to Java engineering.
  • Participate in sprint planning every 2 weeks.
  • Seek out work proactively, especially for critical tasks.
  • Handle tickets as required, which may span multiple sprint cycles.
  • Conduct requirement gathering and enhance requirements within Jira stories.
  • Execute on requirements, develop, and test solutions.
  • Support UAT and production implementation.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience or equivalent through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • 4+ years of Java experience.
  • 4+ years of experience writing Microsoft SQL Server relational database queries, stored procedures, query optimization, and performance tuning.
  • 4+ years of experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) tools.
  • 4+ years of experience with Agile in a development environment.
  • A BS/BA degree or higher.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3+ years of Autosys experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with CI/CD pipeline, GitHub, UDeploy.
  • ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Programming experience.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, Shell, VBScript, or JavaScript.
  • Experience leading projects that require integration of multiple technology systems to deliver new online functionality and user experience.
  • Knowledge of technology architecture: leading and designing conceptual, logical, and physical architecture.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, demanding, and deadline-driven production environment.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Reporting and analytics experience.
