About the position

The Full Stack Java Developer position is a contract role based in Philadelphia, PA, focused on developing and maintaining multi-tier software applications. The role requires a strong proficiency in Java and experience with both backend and frontend technologies, including REST APIs. The developer will work onsite and is expected to deliver high-quality code with minimal oversight while collaborating effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain multi-tier software applications using Java and related technologies.
• Build REST APIs and other backend/frontend components.
• Write well-documented, clean Java code.
• Design and administer MySQL/MariaDB databases.
• Utilize Linux operating system for development, including scripting and common tools.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.

Requirements

• 9+ years of experience in a Full Stack Developer role.
• 9+ years of experience in Java development.
• 9+ years of experience developing multi-tier software applications.
• 7+ years of experience in JavaScript.
• Proficient in Spring framework and Maven.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Experience with LDAP and the Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL) process.
