About the position

BCforward is seeking a highly motivated Full Stack Java Developer for a contract position in Jersey City, NJ. The role involves developing web applications using Java and Spring, with a focus on UI/UX development using ReactJS. The position is hybrid, requiring both onsite and remote work, and is expected to last for 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Develop web applications using Java and Spring frameworks.
• Create Single Page Applications (SPAs) and reusable component libraries using ReactJS.
• Build REST APIs and work with web services technologies.
• Utilize build tools and processes like Maven and Ant.
• Implement CI/CD processes using tools like Jenkins and Ansible Tower.
• Conduct unit testing using Junit.

Requirements

• 4+ years of relevant IT development experience.
• 4+ years of web development experience with Java and Spring.
• 4+ years of experience in UI/UX development (HTML5, CSS3, ReactJS, jQuery, Node.js, JavaScript).
• Basic SQL knowledge and experience with RDBMS (preferably SQL Server).
• Experience in building REST APIs (JAXRS/Swagger/YAML).
• Prior Agile development experience.
• Basic knowledge of version control tools (Git, Bitbucket, SVN).

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of XML & JSON schema and processing technologies.
• Experience with build automation and CI/CD tools.
