About the position

The Full Stack Java with Big Data Developer role involves developing large-scale web applications using Java and related technologies. The position requires expertise in both front-end and back-end development, with a focus on integrating big data solutions. The developer will work in a hybrid environment in Charlotte, NC, and must have a strong background in secure SDLC methodologies and experience with cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop large-scale web applications using Java Framework/Spring Boot.
• Implement front-end solutions using Angular 8 or above.
• Write and debug complex MS SQL Stored Procedures.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs.
• Utilize Spark for big data processing tasks.
• Collaborate with team members in an Agile Scrum environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of large-scale web application development using Java Framework/Spring Boot.
• 3+ years of experience developing with Angular 8 or above.
• 3+ years of experience developing with Python.
• 2+ years of experience developing with Spark.
• 1+ year of experience developing with Big Data Processing.
• 5+ years of secure SDLC methodologies experience.
• 3+ years of MS SQL experience in writing and debugging complex MS SQL Stored Procedures.
• 3+ years of REST API experience.
• 2+ years of GitHub experience.
• 1+ year of Jenkins experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Understanding of Open file and table formats.
• Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) Experience.
• Knowledge of multi-threading and messaging workflows is a strong plus.
• Good communication skills and ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience.
• End-to-end design experience including wireframes and prototypes using SnagIt or equivalent screen capturing software.
• Experience with Agile Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
• Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
