About the position

Bridgeline, The Digital Engagement Company, and developer of the award-winning Unbound Platform, has an immediate opening for a full stack .NET developer. The ideal candidate will be an experienced and forward-thinking member of the web development community with a minimum of 5 (or more) years of experience using Microsoft technologies. We seek someone with expertise in both backend and front-end development who is ideally located in the Chicago or Long Island areas, however, there is opportunity for hybrid remote/on-site work. This team member will report directly to the EVP of Professional Services for the Delivery team and will be responsible for the development and delivery of Unbound and Hawksearch software implementations and custom web applications, from concept to completion. This role will work on many new projects for a variety of clients across a broad variety of industries, building custom development for unique business needs. In this growing, customer and team-focused environment, there will be a lot of opportunities to contribute, while making a difference on dynamic applications for the Web. A lot of these projects are public-facing websites that are visited by millions of users. You will have an opportunity to participate in all pieces of the development lifecycle. As we expand our team, you will have a major impact on shaping the group in terms of guidelines, processes and best practices. In the capacity of this role, you will develop the technical architecture for ASP.NET solutions built upon the Unbound platform on both the front end and backend of the application. You will also work on custom search implementations for strategic partners leveraging our Hawksearch platform. You will be responsible for ongoing coordination with the project manager to ensure that the project execution is occurring according to established expectations regarding quality, completeness and timeliness. During the course of project execution, you will provide ongoing technical direction to the engineer team members based on your project knowledge. During the conclusion of the project, you will participate in a code review with all developers, identifying areas of excellence and learning opportunities. This is a hands-on .NET architecting and development position with additional responsibilities in sales support and team leadership. You will be a key contributor to not only our revenue delivery plan, but also to our ongoing efforts in customer retention and relationship building.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and architect top solutions for our customers.
  • Apply knowledge of mobile-first development, ADA compliance and SEO/Core Web Vitals to all development efforts to act as a digital strategist for all customers, as well as a lead developer.
  • Participate in the design, development, and performance testing of web applications using Microsoft Technologies based on agreed-upon schedules.
  • Drive best practices, company standards and participate in ongoing training.
  • Contribute to training and mentorship of other developers in best practices for Unbound and Hawksearch-based development.
  • Perform QA activities to help ensure quality of project deliverables.
  • Provide accurate scope and estimates to the Sales and Customer Success teams to further discussions with customers who need Bridgeline's solutions.
  • Advise the Support team on custom implementations so they may better serve our customers.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis
  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on application development experience using Microsoft .NET Technologies
  • In depth knowledge of: .NET 3.5 and higher Framework (C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET)
  • REACT, Vue, Angular
