About the position

The Full Stack Engineer position at Smarty LLC involves developing and maintaining mobile applications using React Native for both iOS and Android platforms. The role requires a strong background in PHP and JavaScript, with a focus on building REST APIs and ensuring high-quality user interfaces. The candidate will work in a hybrid environment, with one mandatory in-office day, and will be responsible for managing technical aspects of multiple software products to keep them competitive in the marketplace.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain mobile applications using React Native for iOS and Android.
• Build REST APIs and frontend components using PHP and Laravel or similar frameworks.
• Implement designs from Adobe xD into applications or web pages.
• Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks to ensure a native feel.
• Maintain code quality and write automated tests for product assurance.
• Collaborate effectively with a distributed team, both local and offshore.
• Create software architecture documents and design artifacts.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of React Native and experience building mobile apps.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including ES6+ syntax.
• Good PHP skills with experience in Laravel or similar frameworks.
• Experience in building pixel-perfect UIs across mobile platforms.
• Familiarity with native build tools like Xcode, Gradle, and Android Studio.
• Technical proficiency in Linux, Apache, Redis, and MySQL/MariaDB.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with the Vue framework.
• Familiarity with automated testing suites like Jest and Appium.
• Basic knowledge of Java and Objective-C for native code integration.
• Experience with agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.
• Knowledge of SEO, unit testing, and load testing.
