About the position

Tallon Recruiting and Staffing is seeking a Full Stack Python Developer to join our team in Tampa, FL. This full-time position is focused on advancing data analytics capabilities and requires a candidate with a strong background in Python development, machine learning, and big data technologies. The successful candidate will work on-site at MacDill AFB or Crystal City and will be responsible for supporting the program's mission to simplify solutions and enhance analytics capabilities. This role involves collaborating with a team to support back-end development in a big data environment, ensuring that the customer's data-rich environment is maximized for information extraction and analytics. As a Full Stack Python Developer, you will be expected to leverage your expertise in Python, Databricks, PySpark, and various BI visualization tools to deliver effective data transformation solutions. You will also be responsible for understanding and implementing software design patterns, unit testing, and working with UML diagrams. The position requires effective communication skills to interact with both government and contractor teams, as well as excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about data analytics and is looking to contribute to future analytics development initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Support the program's mission to simplify solutions and enhance analytics capabilities.
• Work as part of a collaborative team supporting back-end development for a big data environment.
• Serve as a trusted resource to understand and maximize information in the customer's data-rich environment.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship
• Current TS/SCI security clearance
• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline preferred; equivalent years of related experience may be considered
• 5+ years of full stack development experience
• 5+ years of Python development experience
• 5+ years of experience with Object Oriented programming
• 3+ years of SQL experience
• 3+ years of experience working with BI visualization tools such as Qlik Sense, Tableau and Power BI
• 2+ years of experience working with Databricks
• 2+ years of experience working with PySpark/Pandas API on Spark (Koalas)
• Working knowledge of data transformation
• Experience with SIPR porting of data and programs
• Experience with SIPR-domain programming
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent time management skills and ability to manage tasks and deadlines
• Availability to work on-site all days
• Availability to support business travel
