About the position

As a Full Stack Developer Intern at SAS, you will be part of the Health and Life Science software development team, contributing to the design, development, and implementation of web-based applications. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies while gaining hands-on experience in full stack development. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with experienced developers, UI/UX designers, and project managers on ongoing projects.
  • Assist in developing front-end and back-end code for new features and applications, ensuring functionality across various platforms.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and debugging processes, providing innovative solutions to technical challenges.
  • Engage in learning opportunities to stay abreast of new technologies and best practices in full stack development.
  • Participate in planning sessions, offering ideas and insights for system architecture and application design.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret financial data and generate actionable insights.
  • Programming experience in one or more of the following languages: Java, Python, R, SAS, Golang.
  • Available to work 15-20 hours per week during the academic year and full-time hours during the summer of 2025.
  • Strong communication skills - both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and initiative.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Exposure to web frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js for front-end; Express.js, Django for back-end).
  • Basic understanding of Agile methodologies.
