About the position
The Full Stack Software Engineer for the API Client at Postman plays a crucial role in enhancing the core product experience for developers. This position focuses on simplifying the API client, improving user interactions, and integrating new request protocols. The engineer will be responsible for delivering impactful changes, collaborating with users, and iterating on the product to meet ambitious goals for 2024 and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver improvements to the API client core product experience.
- Deliver small chunks of iterative value towards simplicity, bit-by-bit.
- Own end-to-end workflows and drive improvements to core workflows.
- Collaborate with end users to understand their core workflows and improve the product.
- Broaden knowledge of API client and the domain over time.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in full stack development.
- Track record of delivering impactful and engaging user experiences.
- Excellent communication skills, especially in a remote-first team.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on product experience.
- Customer obsession and ability to leverage user feedback.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working in a React application with state management tools like MobX.
- Experience working on B2B products and/or developer tools.
- Experience with API design and development.
- Existing user of Postman or similar tools.
