About the position

As a Full Stack Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase, you will play a crucial role in an agile team focused on enhancing and delivering market-leading technology products. Your responsibilities will include developing secure, high-quality production code, troubleshooting technical issues, and leading evaluations of architectural designs. You will also contribute to a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Develop secure high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others.
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems.
  • Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture.
  • Lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Demonstrated experience with Java and Javascript.
  • Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
  • Java development experience using the IntelliJ IDE / Eclipse IDE, or similar tools.
  • Java development experience and writing Unit tests.
  • Experience with SpringMVC / SpringBoot, and JavaScript development using ReactJS / NodeJS / ExtJS.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ETL and ETL processes.
  • Database experience using RDBMS and NoSQL.

Nice-to-haves

  • Expertise in design patterns, application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines for microservices in a Cloud native environment.
  • Experience with Kafka messaging.
  • Experience with SQL queries and report writing.
  • Experience with ElasticSearch and Kibana reporting and analytics.
