About the position

As a Senior Full Stack Solutions Engineer at MITRE, you will leverage your expertise to develop, evaluate, and integrate web-based applications across various teams. This role involves hands-on software engineering, focusing on modernizing legacy systems and delivering advanced functionalities to meet diverse mission needs. Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, testing, debugging, and documentation of applications.
• Choose appropriate technologies to solve complex technical challenges and prototype/integrate web or mobile applications.
• Prepare and present technical briefings for sponsors and communicate work to facilitate collaboration and mentorship.
• Shape the engineering culture by keeping pace with current and emerging technologies.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship with the ability to possess/maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Typically 5 years of related experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a similar field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, JavaScript, Java, or C#.
• Experience owning and delivering prototypes or full web/mobile applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• A track record of leading small technical teams.
• Advanced degrees or certifications.
• Existing clearance, agency fitness, or suitability.
• Experience across the entire software lifecycle, including design/architecture, agile development, CI/CD, and support.
• Familiarity with development tools and platforms such as git, GitHub/GitLab, Jira, Bitbucket, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of cloud services like AWS, Azure, etc.
• Deep knowledge of web apps and associated systems, including frameworks, services, APIs, and security.
• Demonstrated work in domains like artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and mobile development.
• Interest in or contributions to open source projects.
