About the position

The Full Stack Technical Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced technical solutions within the classified Digital Services department at RTX Corporation. This role emphasizes collaboration with stakeholders to ensure that architectural designs meet business goals, security requirements, and technological standards. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in full stack architecture and development, particularly in classified environments, and will play a key role in guiding development teams and ensuring compliance with security protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, oversee the implementation, and support of comprehensive full stack technical architectures for classified digital services.
  • Collaborate with senior business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to gather complex requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Ensure architectural solutions adhere to classified project security requirements and industry best practices.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, including design specifications and security guidelines.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure successful delivery and integration of solutions, providing troubleshooting support as needed.
  • Conduct architecture reviews and audits to ensure integrity, quality, and security of solutions.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with proposed solutions, aligning them with business and security objectives.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the team.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior architects and technical staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in full stack development and technical architecture, with at least 1 year in a classified environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing complex, enterprise-level full stack solutions.
  • Proficiency in various architectural methodologies and frameworks.
  • Knowledge of architecture frameworks such as DoDAF, TOGAF, FEAF, and Zachman.
  • Familiarity with front-end and back-end technologies including JavaScript, Terraform, GitHub, Ansible, React, Angular, Node.js, Java, Python, and database management systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
  • Experience with DevSecOps practices and tools.
  • Familiarity with classified information handling protocols and regulations.
  • Previous experience in the aerospace and defense industry.
