About the position

DornerWorks is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Full Stack Web and Mobile Developer to enhance their IoT solutions. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining web applications that connect complex embedded products, while also engaging with customers to drive sales opportunities. The position offers significant potential for involvement in strategy, business development, and team leadership, contributing to the growth of DornerWorks' innovative product offerings.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain web applications to support customer products.
• Collaborate with designer and developer teams to create seamless solutions for customers.
• Manage cloud services and troubleshoot servers.
• Design and maintain structured and unstructured data stores.
• Interface directly with customers to guide the development process.
• Work with sales to develop business relations with new and existing customers.
• Provide detailed work estimates for new business proposals.
• Showcase project highlights.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• 5+ years of experience in web development.
• Experience with HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript technologies.
• Familiarity with libraries such as jQuery, EmberJS, or AngularJS.
• Proficiency in server-side languages like Ruby, Node.js, or Python, and frameworks such as Rails, ExpressJS, or Django.
• Experience with Amazon AWS and/or Microsoft Azure web services.
• Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies.
• Proficient in web security models including SSL encryption.
• Experience with secure web app development practices and awareness of common vulnerabilities.
• Experience managing Linux servers on AWS or Azure.
• Understanding of RESTful web services and app distribution processes.
• Good programming practices including documentation and version control.
• Familiarity with mobile/desktop responsive design and cross-browser support.
• Proficient with Git version control.

Nice-to-haves

• Deep knowledge of service-oriented architecture and REST services.
• Ability to design UI wireframes and use design tools like Sketch or Photoshop.
• Understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices.
• Experience with User Stories and Journey Mapping.
• Practical experience with connectivity standards like Bluetooth or NFC.
