About the position

The Full Stack Web Designer at Imperial Health Plan of California is responsible for designing and developing web applications and websites that enhance healthcare services for patients and stakeholders. Responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive and user-friendly web applications and websites for healthcare-related purposes.
• Ensure web applications comply with industry standards, regulations, and best practices, including HIPAA compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including healthcare professionals and developers, to gather requirements and ensure effective project execution.
• Create visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces that enhance the user experience for patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to continuously improve the design and usability of web applications.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable front-end code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js).
• Optimize web applications for speed and performance.
• Develop and maintain server-side components and APIs using languages such as Python, Ruby, or Node.js.
• Ensure data security and implement user authentication and authorization features.
• Design and maintain databases (e.g., SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL) to store healthcare-related data securely and efficiently.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of web applications to identify and resolve issues promptly.
• Perform code reviews and collaborate with other developers to maintain code quality.
• Document technical specifications, design choices, and development processes.
• Provide training and support to end-users and internal stakeholders.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest web development trends, healthcare industry regulations, and emerging technologies.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Design, or a related field preferred.
• 1 year experience as a Full Stack Web Designer in the healthcare industry.
• 1-2 years experience with database management systems (SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL).
• Strong UI/UX design skills and the ability to create wireframes and prototypes.
• 1 year experience with mobile application development (iOS and Android).
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Proficiency in front-end and back-end development technologies, such as Angular, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and various web frameworks.
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with data analytics and visualization tools.
• Knowledge of healthcare industry regulations, including HIPAA highly preferred.

Nice-to-haves
