About the position

The Full-Stack Web Developer at Asbury Automotive Group plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining all development-related aspects of the business. This position is responsible for building web applications and system integrations to enhance the capabilities of team members and improve service delivery. The developer will work with both legacy and modern technologies to ensure that all channels are optimized for the best performance, while also protecting the legal, financial, and moral well-being of the dealerships.

Responsibilities

  • Build web applications and system integrations to enhance team capabilities.
  • Collaborate with team members to create front-end interfaces for web-based applications.
  • Design and develop internal applications and outward-facing websites as needed.
  • Perform continuous maintenance and upgrades of all applications and integrations.
  • Work with a development stack that includes Legacy PHP/HTML/CSS and modern frameworks like Node.js, React, and MySQL.
  • Collaborate with management to test products and implement feature requests.
  • Receive feedback and proactively add features as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of web development and design experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of building complete user interfaces that communicate with a back-end data layer.
  • Experience building interfaces using Node.js (React) or PHP preferred.
  • Experience using GitHub for project management.
  • Graphic design experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to build and maintain large data-driven applications.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and MVR within company policy requirements.
  • Self-starter with good time management skills.
  • Professional conduct and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work successfully in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with graphic design.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
