About the position

Torch Technologies is seeking a motivated Full Stack Web Developer with strong experience in building scalable and efficient web applications. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both front-end and back-end technologies, along with a deep understanding of relational databases. This role involves collaborating with the development team to build, enhance, and maintain robust applications that support business goals.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using modern technologies such as ASP.NET Core, C#, and JavaScript.
• Collaborate with the product and design teams to translate requirements into clean, scalable, and high-performance code.
• Develop and manage both front-end and back-end solutions for web applications, ensuring a seamless user experience.
• Implement and maintain relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and optimize SQL queries.
• Integrate third-party APIs and services into web applications.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Continuously learn new technologies and tools to stay ahead of the curve.
• Work in an Agile development environment, participating in sprint planning, code reviews, and team meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience.
• 2 years applicable software design engineering experience.
• Proven experience as a Full Stack Web Developer with a focus on building web applications using ASP.NET Core, C#, and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL), with hands-on experience in database design, query optimization, and schema management.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and Web Services.
• Proficiency in version control systems like Git.
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and front-end JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue).
• Experience with front-end build tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel).
• Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., Azure, AWS) and containerization (Docker) is a plus.
• Knowledge of unit testing and test-driven development (TDD) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for clean, efficient code.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret Security clearance.
