About the position

We are seeking a talented Full Stack WordPress Developer to enhance, maintain, and scale our website. This role involves creating and customizing features, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver a seamless user experience, and ensuring code quality and performance. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, adept at problem-solving, and thrive in an Agile development environment. This is an on-site position in Meridian, Idaho.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and scale current web applications using WordPress.
• Assist in the development of new applications and functions, ensuring all code is accessible, maintainable, and scalable.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to create intuitive user interfaces and seamless user experiences.
• Create and customize WordPress themes and plugins.
• Implement unit testing to ensure the reliability and performance of applications; prepare and maintain software documentation.
• Participate in the scoping of technical requirements, confirming allocated time is correctly sized for the technical task that is being assigned.
• Manage and query databases.

Requirements

• Advanced understanding of WordPress core concepts, including themes, plugins, and the WordPress ecosystem.
• Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (React/Vue.js).
• Extensive WooCommerce experience.
• Expertise in developing custom themes and plugins.
• MySQL expertise.
• Version control (Git) experience.
• Strong knowledge of security best practices.
• Solid grasp of performance optimization techniques.
• Experience with refactoring and maintaining legacy systems.
• Hands-on experience with QA and testing applications.
• Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Ability to work effectively in an Agile development environment.

• Basic understanding of on-and-off page SEO practices.
• Understanding of wire-framing, customer journey mapping, and design conversion.
