About the position

The Full Time 3rd Shift Grocery Stock Clerk at Harris Teeter is responsible for ensuring excellent customer service by meeting customer needs and exceeding expectations. This role involves product knowledge, food preparation skills, and teamwork to create a positive shopping environment. The clerk will handle stocking, processing, and cleaning duties while providing assistance to customers.

Responsibilities

• Take excellent care of customers by satisfying their needs and exceeding expectations.
• Process, package, and stock products according to Grocery Standards.
• Clean work areas to maintain a safe and tidy environment.
• Provide customer service and assist with unloading stock and reloading salvage.
• Participate in required training to enhance customer satisfaction and sales.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED, or one to three months related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence in English.
• Ability to write simple correspondence in English.
• Basic mathematical skills to add and subtract two-digit numbers and perform operations using American money and weight measurement.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed instructions.
