About the position
The Clinical Educator (RN) at Trinity Health At Home is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs for both professional and nonprofessional staff. This role emphasizes compassionate care and aims to enhance clinical excellence through education and support, ensuring that staff are well-equipped to provide high-quality home healthcare services. The position involves direct patient care, oversight of clinical development activities, and collaboration with management to address educational needs and regulatory changes.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and evaluate training programs for staff.
- Facilitate clinical activities for new associates, including orientation and competency validation.
- Assist with clinical education needs and observe clinical practice as requested.
- Provide support for Horizon Computer Software users and resolve documentation issues.
- Make client visits as needed to provide direct care or nursing supervision.
- Apply adult learning principles to staff orientation and education programs.
- Document and file educational plans and associate issues appropriately.
- Serve on committees and perform community outreach activities as needed.
- Consult with leadership regarding educational needs and opportunities for staff.
- Communicate and educate staff on regulatory changes.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved Nursing education program with a bachelor's in nursing required.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice.
- Two years or more of home healthcare experience.
- Current Driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Proficient in computer office software.
- Accurate and clear oral and written communication skills.
- At least three years of nursing experience with increasing responsibility.
