About the position
The Nurse Educator at Trinity Health At Home is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs for both professional and nonprofessional staff. This role emphasizes compassionate care and aims to enhance the clinical skills of staff while ensuring compliance with regulations and organizational standards. The position involves direct interaction with new associates, providing support in clinical education, and maintaining a high standard of care in home healthcare settings.
Responsibilities
- Designs, implements, provides, and evaluates training for staff.
- Facilitates clinical activities for new associates, including orientation and competency validation.
- Assists with clinical education needs and observes clinical practice as requested.
- Provides support for Horizon Computer Software users and resolves documentation issues.
- Makes client visits to provide direct care or nursing supervision as needed.
- Applies adult learning principles to staff orientation and education programs.
- Documents and files educational plans and associate issues appropriately.
- Serves on committees and performs community outreach activities.
- Consults with leadership regarding educational needs for staff.
- Communicates and educates staff on regulatory changes.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved Nursing education program, bachelor's in nursing required.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice.
- Two years or more of home healthcare experience.
- Current Driver's license and reliable transportation.
- CPR Instructor Certification preferred.
- Proficient in computer office software.
- At least three years of nursing experience with increasing responsibility.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Commitment to the mission and Organizational Code of Ethics.
