About the position

The Assistant Store Manager at Pacsun plays a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager to lead a customer-focused and sales-driven store environment. This position is responsible for motivating team members, ensuring adherence to company policies, and maintaining operational excellence to enhance the customer experience. The Assistant Store Manager also acts as a floor supervisor and is involved in coaching staff, managing merchandise flow, and upholding visual standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager in leading a customer-focused and sales-driven store.
  • Inspire and motivate team members to deliver an engaging customer experience.
  • Handle customer situations in compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment to maximize customer experience.
  • Share customer feedback with the leadership team to improve service.
  • Perform as the floor supervisor during non-peak periods.
  • Hold self and others accountable for operational tasks.
  • Coach and provide feedback on Sales Associate performance.
  • Support associate engagement by recognizing outstanding performance.
  • Provide direction to associates on company directives and standards.
  • Prioritize and delegate tasks to meet operational needs.
  • Execute visual directives and maintain visual standards.
  • Drive efficiency in operational processes.
  • Maintain merchandise flow and presentation standards in the store and stockroom.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and safety practices.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Passion for product, brands, fashion, and trends.
  • Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Proficient in math and strong computer skills.
