About the position

The Azure Data Architect role involves designing and maintaining data architecture solutions on the Azure platform. This position is responsible for developing data pipelines, implementing data governance policies, and providing guidance on data solutions and tools. The architect will work closely with stakeholders to present design documents and strategies, ensuring high-quality data management and integration within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain data architecture solutions on the Azure platform.
• Provide solutions to build configurable Data Integration (DI) and Data Quality (DQ) frameworks.
• Present the solution approach, design documents, associated artifacts, and strategy to the Client's architectural council, Data governance, and management team.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines for data ingestion, processing, and transformation from on-premises to Cloud native.
• Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for data architecture.
• Identify and troubleshoot data issues related to Data Quality and implement data quality rules.
• Liaise with stakeholders and program managers on the design aspects of the platform.
• Provide guidance and support to team members and stakeholders on data solutions and tools.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in designing scalable, high-performance data solutions.
• Expertise in Azure Data services including Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse, and SQL Scripting.
• Sound knowledge of Azure services to integrate into building end-to-end solutions, including Power Apps, Azure Functions, Python, PySpark, Data modeling, and Unity Catalog.
