About the position

The Back-End Clerk at Lowe's is responsible for delivering quality customer service while ensuring the store is clean, safe, and stocked. This role involves processing returns, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring merchandise meets quality standards. The clerk will engage with customers and vendors, handle paperwork for shipments, and maintain accurate inventory records.

Responsibilities

• Meet customer needs during returns and assist in finding product replacements.
• Ensure merchandise meets quality and safety standards and process returns efficiently.
• Engage in safe work processes, including proper disposal of returned items.
• Accurately account for, replenish, and prepare merchandise for customers.
• Validate that the correct merchandise is being moved in and out of the store.
• Process returns and manage procedures related to Centralized Return to Vendor.
• Schedule shipments and check the quality and accuracy of orders.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction).
• Ability to obtain sales-related licensure or registration as required by law.

Nice-to-haves

• 1 year of experience processing and filing merchandise receiving paperwork.
• 1 year of experience with store inventory receiving and administration.
• 6 months of experience in warehouse data entry/bookkeeping.
• 6 months of experience communicating with vendors or customers regarding returns, payments, or contract fulfillment.
• 6 months of retail experience accepting or processing returns.
