About the position

NeuroSync is a leading, innovative next-generation neurotechnology company that delivers a digital health platform for assessing brain health, managing recovery, and optimizing performance. As a key member of the team, the Bookkeeper will report directly to the CEO and collaborate with other executives. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a driven individual with an entrepreneurial spirit to contribute to the financial health of the organization. The Bookkeeper will provide strategic financial advice and support to the senior management team, ensuring that the company's financial operations align with its growth objectives. The position is based in Holliston, MA, and candidates must be available to start immediately. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for a variety of routine accounting functions, including preparing financial records, bookkeeping, accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), month-end close processes, bank and account reconciliation, audit preparation, and tax compliance. A basic understanding of a Software as a Service (SaaS) business model is essential, as the Bookkeeper will analyze financial data to optimize efficiencies and profitability on a monthly and annual basis, as needed. Additionally, the role involves preparing forecasts and budgets, monitoring internal controls, and optimizing accounting functions and systems. The Bookkeeper will also generate and analyze sales projections in coordination with the Business Development and Leadership teams, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and taxes. The position may require recommending best practices and conducting reviews of policies to maintain compliance, along with performing additional related job duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial records and bookkeeping tasks including AP & AR.
  • Conduct month-end close processes and bank/account reconciliation.
  • Prepare for audits and ensure tax compliance.
  • Analyze financial data to optimize efficiencies and profitability.
  • Prepare forecasts and budgets as needed.
  • Monitor internal controls and optimize accounting functions and systems.
  • Generate and analyze sales projections in coordination with Business Development and Leadership teams.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and taxes.
  • Recommend best practices and conduct reviews of policies to maintain compliance.
  • Perform additional related job duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related concentration required.
  • CPA designation preferred.
  • Requires 8 years of progressively responsible experience in accounting or finance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and balance changing priorities.
  • Solid analytical skills with the ability to develop creative solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently on assigned work and projects with low supervision.
  • Expert knowledge in the use of computer systems and software (Quickbooks, Excel, CRMs).
