About the position

The Cardiology Physician Assistant position at Winchester Cardiology and Vascular Medicine (WCVM) involves joining a team of experienced Advanced Practice Clinicians and board-certified Cardiologists in a well-established cardiology practice located in the scenic Northern Shenandoah Valley. The role requires clinical competency in caring for cardiovascular patients, with responsibilities split between hospital and clinic settings. Candidates will undergo a 3-6 month onboarding and training program, and the position offers a supportive work environment with a focus on work-life balance.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care to cardiovascular patients in both hospital and clinic settings.
• Interpret EKGs and manage post-surgical care.
• Administer cardiac medications and interventions as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians in a care team model, typically pairing with 1-2 physicians.
• Participate in a 3-6 month onboarding and training program to enhance clinical skills.

Requirements

• Must hold or be eligible for a Virginia Physician Assistant License.
• Clinical competency and expertise in caring for cardiovascular patients.
• US citizenship is required as no Visa positions are available.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with EPIC EMR system.
• Familiarity with diagnostic testing facilities and procedures in cardiology.
