About the position

The Full Time Co-Manager at Shoe Sensation is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store to achieve sales, service, and profitability goals. This role involves managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining store image, and controlling costs while adhering to company policies. The Co-Manager plays a crucial role in training and developing employees, monitoring inventory, and executing store events, all while fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in all in-store operations to drive and exceed sales, service, and profitability objectives.
• Train and develop staff to meet sales goals.
• Meet or exceed company objectives in all measurable areas of the business.
• Supervise all in-store operations to achieve sales, service, and profitability objectives, maintaining shrinkage and operating cost controls.
• Maintain scheduling, payroll/selling cost at or below the budget standards.
• Ensure the fiscal integrity of the store by accounting for all cash merchandise and other store assets.
• Maintain strong product knowledge for use in selling, merchandising, and giving feedback as requested.
• Adhere to visual guidelines including proper merchandising, signage, and store cleanliness.
• Provide consistent assessment of each associate's sales performance and give feedback on areas of strength and opportunities.
• Provide timely written associate evaluations.
• Responsible for setting up and executing all store events.
• Lead initiatives to give back to the local community.

Requirements

• Preferred 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to build and lead a team to make positive impacts on the business.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective phone and verbal communication skills, including active listening.
• Basic knowledge with computers and other technology.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license.
