About the position

The Community Outreach Coordinator at Kavod Senior Life plays a vital role in promoting the organization and its programs to older adults in the community. This position is responsible for managing the Kavod on the Road program, which includes the development, coordination, and promotion of various recreational, cultural, physical, and educational activities. The coordinator will work closely with external stakeholders and internal teams to enhance community engagement and awareness of Kavod's mission.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, coordination, and promotion of community-accessible educational, social, and entertaining programs and activities.
• Establish and renew partnerships with area synagogues, community centers, and other organizations to serve older adults.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to implement programs.
• Encourage participation and engagement from older community members in Kavod on the Road activities.
• Coordinate publications related to Kavod on the Road, ensuring timely delivery of materials.
• Lead and coordinate an annual educational conference for older adults, including site selection and workshop coordination.
• Promote a positive image of Kavod in the community and serve as an ambassador for the organization.
• Participate in community meetings to develop and implement new programming.
• Assist the Marketing team in promoting the Kavod brand and supporting internal departments with their marketing needs.
• Manage a database of outreach events and handle program payments and donations.

Requirements

• Experience in coordinating activities/programs and working with diverse groups.
• Computer skills including database management and word processing.
• Basic knowledge of Jewish customs and holidays.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in marketing or community relations.
• Familiarity with event planning and coordination.
