About the position

Orchard Village is seeking a full-time Controller to oversee and manage the financial affairs of the organization. This role involves maintaining financial functions that contribute to achieving personal outcomes for clients, analyzing financial performance against budgets, and preparing financial statements to guide management decisions. The Controller will also participate in the Board Finance Committee, ensuring effective financial governance within the agency.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the EVP & CFO in the oversight and management of the financial affairs of Orchard Village.
  • Maintain and apply knowledge of the relationship of financial functions of the agency to the achievement of personal outcomes for the clients.
  • Collect and interpret key financial data and analyze performance against budget.
  • Prepare financial statements with supporting schedules for guidance to management.
  • Participate in the Board Finance Committee.

Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial management, preferably in a non-profit organization.
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Excel and financial/payroll software.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Government/grant reporting experience.
  • Working knowledge of general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, income tax and banking.
