About the position
The Base Custodian position at Bloomington Public Schools involves full-time custodial work focused on cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining school facilities. The role is essential for ensuring a safe and clean environment for students and staff, with a work schedule from 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize areas of the school building.
- Sweep floors and empty waste baskets.
- Mop and vacuum floors as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness in restrooms and common areas.
- Perform additional cleaning tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be able to work full-time hours (8 hours per day).
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to cleaning and maintenance.
- Must be available for the 2nd shift from 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM.
Nice-to-haves
- Boiler and pool licenses (additional pay for these certifications).
- Experience in custodial or maintenance work.
