This position is essential for maintaining and growing the bank's customer base by effectively handling inquiries, executing transactions, and resolving issues while adhering to bank policies and procedures. The representative is expected to foster positive relationships with customers and contribute to the overall success of the bank's retail banking group.

Responsibilities

• Handles customer inquiries and executes requested transactions effectively and efficiently, while consistently portraying an image of friendliness, courtesy, and professionalism.
• Fully understands and consistently follows applicable policies and procedures in executing transactions and responding to inquiries; involves co-workers when appropriate.
• Fully understands all traditional and electronic Bank products, effectively explains products to customers, problem solves with all products and makes appropriate referrals to co-workers when necessary.
• Works effectively with customers who dispute Bank policies, to maintain goodwill, while also adhering to policies and ensuring profitable relationships.
• Works with customers seeking to close accounts or change account type; where possible, works to retain the customer; where necessary, handles closing of the account.
• As a member of the Retail Banking Group, actively identifies customer needs and preferences and communicates observations to the group.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of customer service related experience required.
